The Donor Information Services (DIS) team manages and analyzes an extensive donor/prospect database with 500,000 constituent and prospect records. The 21-member team helps maintain and strengthen Philanthropy’s infrastructure while stressing the importance of quality data collection and gift handling, outstanding prospect research and management, valuable analytics, innovative software integration and database integrity.
The Data Control Tech help process 60,000 gift transactions per year inputting valuable gift, pledge and biographical data into The Raiser’s Edge database. The Data Control Tech must be able to effectively communicate the mission, values and scope of the institution.
Assists with daily processing and reconciliation of online transactions including all communications with Fred Hutch's Accounting Department
Serves as lockbox processing coordinator and point of contact with vendor and Accounting
Processes complex gift transactions (high volume event transactions, workplace gifts, matching gifts, recurring gifts, charge backs, wires, Planned Gifts, in-kind gifts, pledges, direct mail, lock box and payroll deduction)
Participates in delivering software training sessions
Routinely updates gift processing protocols and determines opportunities to streamline routines, identify processing problems and inconsistencies.
Clarifies gift processing and gift code procedures and provides general troubleshooting assistance to The Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online database users
Maintains detailed procedure manuals and gift processing protocols. Processes gift data following established and documented guidelines
Works with Accounting on gift processing changes that affect income reporting (gift adjustments). Serves as point of contact for gift processing questions
Masters all relevant aspects of The Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, and AuctionMaestro Pro and remains current on software features
Fosters communication between the DIS team and all development programs. Safeguards the confidentiality of donor information at all times

Bachelor’s degree or two years work equavalent
Working knowledge of fundraising concepts, principles, procedures and techniques
Excellent editing, grammar and proofreading skills
Strong interpersonal and written communications skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with various groups within Philanthropy
Ability to systematically understand workflow processes and suggest constructive improvements
Resourceful, self-directed and motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks and synthesize divergent information to improve processes
Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing needs
Appreciates and embraces team work, new ideas and excited about new process improvements always striving to improve efficiencies.

Gift and/or data processing experience
Blackbaud product suite experience (Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate Online, etc.)
