U.S. Bank Senior Product Manager in Seattle, Washington

The CPS Strategy and Specialized Industry team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to manage their Program Optimization team and expansion initiative. The successful candidate will lead the effort to productize, automate and scale our client optimization service. A deep understanding of optimization data, analysis and processes are important in this role as well as the ability to effectively communicate the optimization value proposition to clients. The successful candidate must also be familiar with and stay abreast of industry and competitive intelligence.

Essential Functions:

  1. Leads a team to translate overall business strategy and key initiatives into an executable plan.

  2. Manages design, development, implementation and enhancement to the optimization expansion program.

  3. Works cross-functionally to identify, document and execute internal infrastructure needs.

  4. Leads the development of optimization automation tools development.

  5. Manages the ongoing development of collateral material, advertising, promotional programs, sales training programs, operational procedures and systems requirements.

  6. Maintains competitive analysis and market research of competing products and services to identify customer needs and trends.

  7. Works with the relationship managers and internal cross-functional teams to formulate and execute the optimization strategy.

  8. Manages the on-going research to track, monitor and analyze product performance, profitability and contribution. Provides senior management results reporting and initiative updates.


The position requires strong knowledge of data management and analysis combined with effective interpersonal skills. Also needed is the experience and ability to work with internal teams such as finance analytics, client sales/relationship management, supplier enablement and TOS to formalize internal infrastructure and strategy needed to expand a program. Additionally, a deep understanding of client accounts payable processes a must.

  • 10 years’ experience in payment research, analysis and reporting.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Experienced user of SQL analytics tools & techniques

  • Experienced user of Tableau analytics data visualization tools

  • Expert user of Excel.

  • Strong financial analysis skills and ability to present compelling product propositions to clients.

  • Superior communicator with strong presentation skills; confident with senior management and able to partner and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Motivated self-driver, able to manage complex projects, detail-oriented with proven time management and general project management skills.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
